Who is on your Dream Team?
Who are the people who are ready to back you when it comes to playing full out to make your biggest dreams come true? Who are the people that fire you up, cheer you on and are willing to do what they can to help you make your ideas happen, no matter how wild they may seem?
Who are the ones that brainstorm with you, that celebrate your successes, encourage you to keep dreaming and pull you up when they see you veering off track?
Draw up a list right now of who those people are.
People who are as committed to seeing you bring your ideas and dreams to life as you are.
Because we ALL need a Dream Team.
Who you surround yourself by day to day plays a huge part in shaping the goals you shoot for, the choices you make and, ultimately, the life you create.
So look around you. Do you have people to turn to, people to discuss your ideas with, to call on for help when you’re making those ideas happen? People with the right experience, expertise, enthusiasm and energy?
Because if you don’t, it’s time to go out and find those people.
My Dream Team is made up of a shit-hot host of savvy creatives, entrepreneurs and people that make things happen. They inspire me, cheer me on and give me sound grounded advice when I need it.
As a team they provide all the energy, passion, shared vision and values, business know-how, encouragement, advice and creative partnership that I need.
Whenever I’m embarking on a new project I always go to my Dream Team. Some for brainstorming, others for contacts, some for practical advice and others to make sure I’m doing things for the right reasons. And depending on the project there are different key players on my Dream Team. But they all have one thing in common: they get what I do, they love what I’m about and they want to see me succeed at whatever I set my heart to.
And it goes both ways. I am just as much there for them when they need me.
So, if you aren’t surrounded by like-minded people that can help you make your ideas and dreams happen, what can you do? Go and find them. Some of the people on my Dream Team are close friends, but others I met just last week.
So go to events, do courses, join programmes and groups where you’ll meet like-minded peers and mentors and eventually…they become your people.
Just remember what Jim Rohn once said “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”. So go and surround yourself by people that you admire and that admire you.
Share your dreams and ideas and help one another make them happen.
